Buy for 5 700 ₽Bebra goes on a Zyxel Keenetic over PPTP if the router still has its original menu. Your Bebra dashboard gives you the server IP, login and password, and all three go on one tab of the web configurator. If your router’s menu looks different, find its row in the table.
Updated
| Sticker and menu | What to do |
|---|---|
| Zyxel Keenetic with a PPPoE/VPN tab under Internet | PPTP, steps below |
| Keenetic or Netcraze with a model code from the app’s list, firmware 5.0 or later | The Bebra app, see the Keenetic guide |
| Other connections under Internet, but the model code isn’t on the list | Add PPTP to the VPN connections block and enter the IP, login and password from your dashboard |
| Another Zyxel, without the Keenetic name | We haven’t tested other Zyxel models. If yours has a PPTP or OpenVPN client, follow the manual setup |
Your Bebra dashboard has the server IP, login and password the Zyxel will ask for. Open Router → Other routers and click Get router settings to see them.
The web configurator is at 192.168.1.1 (or my.keenetic.net). Go to Internet → PPPoE/VPN, add a connection and choose PPTP as its type.
Enter the server IP from your dashboard as the server address, then the username and password. Make this the connection used for internet access. Without this setting, no traffic goes through Bebra. Click Apply.
The OpenVPN file from your Bebra dashboard leaves out the login and password, and Keenetic won’t import a file like that. The Bebra app only runs on models with a code from its list, and Zyxel-branded routers don’t have one. That leaves PPTP.
It’s the weaker protocol, and some providers block it. If the connection never comes up, install Bebra on your computer and phone instead.

Open the PPTP connection on the PPPoE/VPN tab, replace the server address with the IP of a server in another country from your dashboard, and click Apply. The login and password work with every server on the list.
Keenetic was a Zyxel router line until it became a brand of its own in 2017. That’s why older models, such as the Zyxel Keenetic Omni or Viva, carry both names.
