VPN server in India
Valve has two sites in India, in Mumbai and Chennai, so an Indian address helps when your squad plays from there. JioHotstar is harder, since it shows an error on VPN and proxy connections and wants them switched off.

Matches with friends in India
Two Valve sites. Both take CS2 and Dota 2 games. In Dota 2, also tick India among your matchmaking regions. Our games page looks at ping over a VPN.
ChatGPT and Claude. India appears on both the OpenAI and the Anthropic country lists. If AI is all you need, a supported country closer to you does the same job, so the India tile makes most sense when you are already on it for a match.
Finding India
Type the whole word “India” in Search, since “Ind” also brings up Indonesia.

Valve sites and JioHotstar
Mumbai or Chennai?
You don’t have to decide. Bebra has one India tile with no choice of city, and which of the two Valve sites hosts a match is up to Valve.
Will JioHotstar work over the India location?
Don’t count on it. When we opened JioHotstar’s help page from a data-centre address, it showed a notice about VPN, proxy and “unblocker” services and asked us to switch them off. Bebra’s servers sit in data centres too.
